Beethoven meets Pop Art
From today's perspective, Ludwig van Beethoven is more than just a composer of the 19th century. His musical genius and his serious almost gloomy aura make him an icon, a symbol of classical music like no other. We are therefore going one step further and use the charism of a younger era in art history, Pop Art, to symbolically charge our bust of Beethoven.
In an edition limited to 7 busts, the colors of Beethoven's face light up and create a modern interpretation of this icon of classical music. In contrast to classical busts, which are usually kept in white or appear classic and timeless with the dark patina of the bronze, with this edition we want to express what music lovers all over the world know: Beethoven is part of modernity and more topical than ever.
But despite the unusual execution, our concern remains to orient busts on the existing templates. The famous portrait of Beethoven by Josef Karl Stieler, which shows the composer with a red scarf, stern look and stubbornly pushed lower jaw, has been copied many times and is perhaps the most famous portrait of a classical musician. Therefore, it was the definitive template for our bust.

The bust was modeled by us and produced by a specialist company from Germany on our behalf from vinyl using the rotomold process. Then, we painted the bust by hand in the style of Pop Art.

This bust from the special edition is made of a special plastic and foamed inside with a special foam.
The material is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
If you want to clean the bust please use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not clean it under a water jet or similar!
